A Vacancy at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Reporting to the Receipt & Distribution Manager, the post-holder will be a key member of the Receipt & Distribution team, responsible for general housekeeping tasks, processing receipts, and managing deliveries across the site. This includes transporting multiple loads and accurately recording information using electronic handheld devices. Responsibilities
- Ensure prompt delivery of received goods to end users to a central plan as directed by the Receipt & Distribution Manager.
- Ensure that deliveries are accepted at the end users department/ward and ensure a signed record of the delivery is made.
- Deal with customer and vendor queries as necessary.
- Deliver/retrieve items from Wards, Departments, Hospital Reception or other areas as necessary.
- Undertake any other tasks as deemed necessary by the Receipt & Distribution Manager.
- Establish and maintain a working rapport with Purchasing, Stock Control, Invoice Control and administration colleagues.
- Keep all storage areas and materials handling equipment safe, secure, clean and tidy.
- Ensure that any appropriate tools and equipment provided by the Procurement Department and/or suppliers are used in accordance with their intended purpose.
- Participate in the Procurement Safety working group.
