NNU Immigration Limited is looking for an exceptional U.S. Immigration Paralegal to join our growing team in London.
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated, academically strong and commercially minded individual to build a career within a specialist U.S. immigration practice working with international businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and high-calibre professionals .
You will work closely with experienced U.S. immigration attorneys in both London and New York , gaining substantial hands-on experience across complex U.S. immigration matters. The role has a particular focus on investor visas and intracompany transfers , while also providing exposure to a broad range of temporary and permanent U.S. immigration categories.

The Opportunity
This is not a role where you will simply prepare forms and assemble documents.
You will be expected to think critically, identify issues, understand the commercial context of a case and take ownership of your work .
Working under the guidance of our managing and associate attorneys, you will support cases from initial client instruction through to submission and beyond. You will interact directly with clients, conduct legal and procedural research, draft correspondence and application materials, and help attorneys develop strategies for complex matters.
The successful candidate will have a UK or U.S. legal background , excellent academic credentials and outstanding written and analytical skills. Previous U.S. immigration experience is highly desirable, but we are equally interested in exceptional candidates with transferable legal skills and a genuine interest in developing a career in U.S. immigration.
Key ResponsibilitiesLegal & Casework
- Drafting sophisticated and accurate U.S. immigration applications for submission to USCIS and U.S. Embassies and Consulates.
- Assisting attorneys with investor visa and intracompany transfer matters, including E-2, L-1 and related applications.
- Managing a caseload with multiple, often competing, deadlines.
- Taking ownership of assigned matters and ensuring that cases progress efficiently and accurately.
- Identifying legal, evidentiary and practical issues and escalating them appropriately.
- Communicating directly with clients by email and telephone and helping to manage client expectations.
- Drafting clear, legally accurate correspondence and letters of advice.
- Conducting legal and procedural research using primary sources, USCIS guidance, U.S. Embassy and Consular resources and relevant legal databases.
- Preparing concise research summaries and recommendations for attorneys.
- Preparing detailed attendance notes and documenting client communications.
- Developing and updating firm precedents, questionnaires, template correspondence and supporting documentation.
- Speaking with prospective clients, gathering relevant information and identifying issues for attorney review.
- Assisting with client consultations and explaining the firm's consultation and charging structure.
- Supporting attorneys with ad hoc research and legal projects.
Case Administration & Client Service
- Preparing and quality-checking complete application packages for submission.
- Maintaining highly organised and accurate electronic client files.
- Monitoring deadlines and ensuring that case milestones are met.
- Proofreading legal documents and correspondence to an exceptionally high standard.
- Maintaining accurate client and contact information within the firm's systems.
- Preparing meeting agendas, taking meeting notes and following up on action points.
- Coordinating courier and postage arrangements where required.
- Managing diary invitations and supporting attorneys with scheduling.
- Assisting with internal meetings and team projects.
- Supporting the office manager with ad hoc administrative tasks and special projects.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is exceptionally capable, switched-on and motivated to develop .
You will ideally have:
- A strong academic background and university degree, preferably in law or a related discipline.
- A UK or U.S. legal background, with previous experience in a legal environment highly desirable.
- Excellent legal research, analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Outstanding written English and an exceptional eye for detail.
- The ability to communicate confidently and professionally with sophisticated clients.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- The ability to work independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
- A genuine sense of ownership and accountability for your work.
- Strong commercial awareness and an interest in understanding our clients' businesses.
- Excellent judgment, initiative and problem-solving ability.

- Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence working with technology and electronic document systems.

Eccleston Square, Victoria, London
This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work from our London office a minimum of two days per week .
You will report to the Managing Attorneys in London and New York .
