Due to an internal promotion, we are pleased to advertise an opportunity to join our Licensing team as an Environmental Technical Services Officer (TSO), reporting to the Environment and Leisure Business Support Manager. This is a key role supporting the delivery of our statutory licensing functions across North Norfolk, ensuring applications are processed efficiently, systems are maintained accurately, and services continue to meet increasing legislative and customer expectations. This post provides technical and administrative support across Environmental Health and Licensing services, working closely with customers, officers, managers and partners.
Responsibilities
- Processing applications and maintaining statutory registers
- Supporting enforcement, committee processes and decision-making
- Preparing documentation including licences, legal notices and reports
- Managing data and performance reporting requirements
- Providing system administration and technical support to colleagues
You will also help ensure enquiries, complaints and correspondence are handled professionally and within required timescales.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of administrative work in a busy office environment
- Is confident dealing with customers and handling enquiries
- Has strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Can manage data accurately and support reporting requirements
- Is well organised, methodical and able to prioritise workload
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
