NMS Recruit is looking for experienced Superintendent Engineers to join a leading OEM in the marine and power generation sector. You will be an engine expert that manages complex field service activities. Responsible for installation, implementation, commissioning, servicing and troubleshooting of 4 and 2 stroke marine, rail traction and power generation engines.
Responsibilities
- Resolve complex mechanical and electrical/controls engine problems.
- Supervise/coordinate personnel, customers supplied staff, contractors or agency personnel at site where necessary.
- Provide on-site project management in cooperation with the relevant Contracts Manager.
- Provide technical support on projects assigned by Line Manager.
- Carry out extensive maintenance and repair operations of 4 and 2 stroke engines and associated systems.
- On site Customer operational support and local project management in all stages of a project ensuring on time delivery to policies and procedures.
- Identifying the resource, spare parts and tooling requirements for maintenance and repair activities to ensure on time delivery of the project.
- Implementation of field maintenance procedures.
- Carry out performance tests, troubleshooting & root cause analysis.
- Work with engine automation & mechanical system, providing support to Customers within guidelines.
- Ensure the implementation of HSE standards in maintenance activities.
Experience
- At least 5 years of in depth engine mechanical and controls/electrical systems experience in the marine industry.
- Experience of successfully supervising large maintenance and repair activities with on time delivery of projects.
- Fluency in English; Able to write Technical reports.
- Proficient in IT and Microsoft Office.
- Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering diploma/degree with at least 5 years work experience or apprenticeship time served mechanical or mechatronic Engineer with long time work experience.
- Able to pass a DBS Check and Medical.
- Clean driving licence.
