We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC lathes and milling machines to produce high-precision components. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, setting up machinery, and ensuring quality standards are met. A strong background in mechanical processes is essential to optimise production efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to technical specifications and drawings
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain CNC equipment, including milling and grinding machines
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Perform routine inspections of machined parts to ensure precision and quality standards are maintained
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment for adjustments, assembly, and minor repairs
  • Apply basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with safety regulations
  • Assist with plastics injection moulding processes when required
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic repairs or adjustments on machinery
