We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC lathes and milling machines to produce high-precision components. This role involves interpreting technical drawings, setting up machinery, and ensuring quality standards are met. A strong background in mechanical processes is essential to optimise production efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to technical specifications and drawings
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain CNC equipment, including milling and grinding machines
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Perform routine inspections of machined parts to ensure precision and quality standards are maintained
- Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment for adjustments, assembly, and minor repairs
- Apply basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with safety regulations
- Assist with plastics injection moulding processes when required
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic repairs or adjustments on machinery
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC machining operations with experience in milling and grinding processes is essential
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, assembly, welding, and plastics injection moulding
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and specialised tooling equipment
