We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing site payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance while providing exceptional support to our employees. This position requires proficiency in various payroll and accounting software - ideally SAGE or SAP.
Duties
- Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Perform data entry tasks related to payroll, overtime, setting up new starters, terminations, and changes in employee status.
- Liaise with HR to resolve any payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies.
- Providing administrative support to a busy engineering team.
- Responsible for ordering stock for site, managing inventory/stock control.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise professionally with staff at all levels.
Hours & Pay
This is a site-based role (not hybrid), BD12 area Mon - Fri 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm (37.5 hr week). Temp to perm position, initially temp via agency hourly rate £14.00 - £14.50 doe, weekly pay, holiday pay accrued on weekly hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a payroll administration role or similar position.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as SAGE / SAP / COINS / DAYFORCE.
- Knowledge of human resources practices and regulations related to payroll processing.
