The Role
You’ll help keep the fleet safe, compliant and ready for service, delivering high standards of maintenance and repair while minimising vehicle downtime.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and vehicle inspections.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults on HGV's and articulated vehicles.
- Completing repairs and preventative maintenance to a high standard.
- Ensuring vehicles meet DVSA requirements and workshop safety standards.
- Accurately completing job cards, inspection reports and maintenance records.
- Working closely with fellow technicians to keep the workshop running efficiently.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- An NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience maintaining and repairing HGVs or commercial vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- A practical approach, a positive attitude and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and contribute to a team.
- A valid Class 2 / Category C HGV driving licence - Advantageous
A Basic DBS check will form part of the recruitment process.
Overtime: Paid at time and a half
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am3:30pm
