We're looking for an experienced Mobile Field Service Engineer to join our growing team, supporting refuse collection vehicles (RCVs), bin lifters, and EV systems across customer sites and roadside locations. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical fault-finding skills who enjoys working independently and solving problems in the field.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Service, maintain, and repair RCVs, bin lifters, and associated equipment
  • Diagnose faults on hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems
  • Attend breakdowns and emergency call-outs
  • Support EV refuse vehicle systems and diagnostics
  • Complete inspections, repairs, and commissioning work
  • Deliver professional customer support on-site

What We're Looking For

  • Experience with RCVs, HGVs, heavy plant, or municipal vehicles
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in HGV, Automotive, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Confident working independently in a field service role

Desirable

  • LOLER inspection experience
  • EV / High Voltage awareness
  • Manufacturer training (Dennis Eagle, Terberg, Mercedes, Volvo, DAF etc.)
  • Experience with PLC diagnostics / CODESYS
