Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking to join a professional workshop where your skills are genuinely valued? If you enjoy fault finding, problem solving and keeping commercial vehicles operating safely and efficiently, we'd love to hear from you. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established team, working on a varied fleet of HGVs in a modern workshop environment. You'll be trusted to deliver high-quality workmanship while benefiting from a supportive team and ongoing career development.
£22 per hour - 40 hours per week - 11:30pm - 8pm - Overtime paid at flat rate £22p/h
What You'll Be Doing:
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Completing MOT preparation work and ensuring vehicles meet DVSA standards.
- Performing safety inspections and compliance checks.
- Using diagnostic equipment to identify faults and implement effective repairs.
- Completing job cards and maintaining accurate service records.
- Working efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
- Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive workshop environment.
- Following all health & safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised workspace.
What We're Looking For:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
- Previous experience maintaining and repairing HGVs.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
- Good knowledge of engines, braking systems, suspension, electrics and hydraulics.
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
