NMS Recruit are seeking an experience Facilities Service Delivery Manager to take responsibility for the oversight and management of reactive facilities requirements across a multi-site international portfolio. This is not a traditional site-based Facilities Manager position. The role is focused on the back-office management, commercial review and coordination of facilities requests, ensuring that works are properly justified, appropriately costed, approved and, occasionally, ensuring that they are successfully delivered. This is a newly created role offering considerable autonomy and the opportunity to take ownership of facilities service delivery across a varied international portfolio. The position would particularly suit an experienced facilities professional who understands the practical delivery of FM services but whose strengths lie in service delivery, commercial oversight, stakeholder management, budget control and problem solving, rather than the day-to-day physical management of an individual site. You will work closely with senior management and external service partners, providing the structure, oversight and follow-through required to ensure facilities requests are appropriately assessed, controlled and delivered. You will oversee the annual budgeting per region/country. During the budget year, you will ensure that the budgets are being accurately tracked at a regional and country level. You will propose to the Construction Director budget reallocations, as required, to cover funding gaps with monies from areas with budget surplus. You will also monitor all work order requests to review accuracy/thoroughness of scope and cost. Based on your review, you will work with the FM partner to obtain any information or corrections required so that the final work order request can be approved by the Construction Director. Key Responsibilities Manage reactive facilities work requests across multiple sites and geographical regions. Review individual requests to fully understand the requirement, scope of works and operational justification. Assess quotations and proposed expenditure to ensure costs are reasonable, appropriate and provide value for money. Challenge proposed expenditure where necessary and request additional or alternative quotations where costs require further validation. Identify requests where insufficient information or justification has been provided and work with stakeholders to obtain the required detail. Approve appropriate requests within agreed authority levels or return them for further information, clarification or amendment. Ensure expenditure is allocated to the appropriate budget and maintain effective oversight of facilities-related spend. Work closely with external FM service providers responsible for the physical delivery of works at site level. Maintain accurate records of facilities requests, quotations, approvals, expenditure and completed works. Support the Construction Director with the ongoing management of facilities requirements across the international portfolio. Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, external FM partners, contractors and suppliers across multiple countries and time zones. Experience & Skills The successful candidate will ideally have experience within Facilities Management, FM service delivery, estates, property operations or a similar environment and understand how reactive facilities works are managed from initial request through to completion. You will need: Previous experience within Facilities Management, FM service delivery, estates, property operations or a related environment. Experience overseeing reactive works and facilities requests across multiple sites. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to critically assess quotations, costs and proposed expenditure. Experience working with external FM providers, contractors and service partners. An understanding of budget management and cost control. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. The confidence to question and challenge requests, quotations and suppliers constructively where required. Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping. A proactive approach with the ability to follow issues through to resolution. The ability to work effectively across different countries, cultures and time zones. A high level of self-management and the ability to work autonomously within a remote environment. A dependable and trustworthy approach, with the confidence to take ownership and make sound decisions.
