Monday - Friday 6am-3.30pm & 1.30pm-10pm / 1 in 2 Saturdays (half day)

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Van Technician / LCV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle dealership based in Crayford, Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to work within a professional workshop environment, maintaining and repairing a range of modern light commercial vehicles, including diesel and electric models.

You’ll be joining an established team where quality workmanship, technical ability and customer service are at the heart of the operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, inspections, maintenance and repairs on LCVs and vans.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete routine repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, clutches and engine systems.
  • Carry out electrical fault-finding and repairs.
  • Undertake preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections.
  • Identify additional repair requirements and communicate these to the Workshop Controller or Service team.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork and job cards accurately.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
  • Keep up to date with developments in modern commercial vehicle technology.

About You

We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Van/LCV Technician who takes pride in their work and enjoys working in a busy commercial vehicle environment.

Ideally, you will have

  • Previous experience as a Van Technician, LCV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
  • A relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic experience.
  • Good electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Experience using vehicle diagnostic equipment.
  • A good understanding of modern commercial vehicle systems.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A professional approach and strong attention to detail.
  • A full UK driving licence.
