NMS Recruit is seeking a Project Manager to join a global leader in the turbomachinery industry. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Project Manager, Mechanical or Commissioning Engineer looking to transition into project management. The successful candidate will have proven experience working with turbomachinery and rotating equipment, along with the technical knowledge and commercial awareness to manage projects from initiation through to completion. Please note that applicants must already have the right to work, as visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
You will be responsible for the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and close-out of field service projects, as well as self-buyer spares, inspection, and repair projects. The role also carries responsibility for driving the development and achievement of order intake, revenue, and profit targets, while supporting the growth and delivery of Business Unit products and services within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities- Customer first point of contact in the event of service, spares, inspection/repair or upgrade requirements.
- Manage and co-ordinate customer spares and service business for responsible accounts.
- Ensure service delivery priorities are understood and achieved by both internal and external stakeholders.
- Calculate and issue quotations for services provided by the local business.
- Co-ordination of technical, administrative and commercial planning and scheduling of maintenance activities on turbomachinery equipment for field service personnel.
- Arrange, review and compile all the necessary documentation and work instructions for the Field Service staff to complete planned activities safely including risk assessments and required safety documents.
- Ensure the project management activities are executed in accordance with company policy and meet any applicable industry or regulatory requirement.
- Ensure all projects are executed safely, on time and within budget.
- Co-ordinate quotations for troubleshooting, service, repairs and technical support activities carried out by product centre.
- Support growth strategies within the region (budget quotations, order intake, revenue/casing, customer visits).
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
- 5-10 years Project Management experience in an Operational/Service environment or 5-10 years experience as a Field Service Engineer.
- Experience in sales promotion & service delivery activities.
- Commercial awareness.
- Knowledge of Turbomachinery aftermarket business stakeholders such as customers base, vendors, contractors and competitors.
- Understanding of industry HSSE standards and other key business regulatory requirements.
- Experienced using current digital platforms, MS-Office package, SAP, CRM.
- P&L Management.
