HGV Trailer Fitter We are seeking a skilled and motivated Trailer Fitter to join a growing engineering and transport support operation.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse fleet of HGVs, trailers, specialist transport equipment, and associated plant machinery, ensuring all vehicles and equipment are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and compliance.
Based from a fully equipped workshop, you will be part of an experienced team responsible for servicing, repairing, inspecting, and fault-finding across a varied fleet that supports operations throughout the UK.
This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced fitter who enjoys working on a range of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs, trailers, and specialist transport equipment.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults.
Conduct trailer inspections, MOT preparations, and safety checks in line with DVSA requirements.
Perform repairs on braking systems, suspension, axle assemblies, lighting systems, and running gear.
Maintain and repair ancillary equipment including generators, lighting towers, and small plant machinery.
Complete all maintenance records and inspection documentation accurately.
