The Role
As a PCV / HGV Mechanic you'll be responsible for ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, helping to maximise reliability and minimise downtime. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Preparing vehicles for MOT inspections.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with DVSA and VOSA standards.
- Completing job cards and maintenance records accurately.
- Responding to vehicle breakdowns and carrying out effective repairs.
- Supporting apprentices and junior engineers where required.
- Working safely while maintaining high engineering standards.
