NMS Recruit are seeking an experienced Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer with experience in heavy industrial gas turbines to join an international service provider. Candidates will need to be based in the Paisley area and ideally have demonstrable experience in GE heavy industrial gas turbines.
You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the company's function which require mechanical engineering input, liaising with all departments in the company to ensure objectives are met.
- Examining and solving complex problems within engineering departments, contractors, suppliers and customers.
- Review and action production concession requests and non-conformance reports.
- Verify repairs through application of engineering process and validation analysis.
- Conduct engineering investigations in conjunction with both field personnel and customer representatives.
- Develop acceptance criteria for a wide range of gas turbine component parts/assemblies.
- Develop/maintain engineering documentation, processes and procedures in line with quality standards.
- Provide technical support during gas turbine overhaul including secondment to site when specialist knowledge is required.
- Provide performance analysis and vibration study of gas turbines.
- Involved in all aspects of company's functions such as project planning, project scheduling, estimations, feasibility reports, commercial and technical discussions.
- Preparing installation procedures for use by the field force and also for use by the customer in compiling a record of the as-built plant.
- Ability to analyse, solve and communicate complex technical problems and their solutions.
- Working knowledge of 2D drawing & 3D modelling software.
- To work safely and in accordance with all company Health, Safety and Environmental rules and recommendations, and be proactive in maintaining a safe working environment.
- To work in accordance with company quality procedures and objectives.
Experience:
- Degree in Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering or HND with relevant industry experience.
- 5 - 10 years experience with heavy industrial gas turbines/rotating equipment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Quality focused.
- Equipment maintenance.
