NMS Recruit is looking for experienced Field Service Engineers to join a leading OEM in the marine and power generation sector. The role involves handling installation, implementation, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of 4 and 2-stroke marine, rail traction, and power generation engines. To be eligible, candidates must be located in the UK and possess prior field service experience in the Marine Industry.
Responsibilities
- Being able to carry out maintenance and repair of 4 and 2 stroke engines and associated systems.
- Support the implementation of field maintenance procedures.
- Carry out performance tests, troubleshooting & root cause analysis.
- Work with engine automation & mechanical systems, providing support to Customers within guidelines.
- Implementation of tasks as part of the maintenance of engines.
- On site Customer operational support in all stages of a project.
- Support the implementation of HSE standards in maintenance activities.
- Identifying the spare parts requirements for maintenance of activities.
Experience
- At least 2+ years of experience of in depth overhaul, service and repair of high or medium speed engines in the marine industry.
- Apprenticeship time served mechanical or mechatronic engineer.
- Able to pass a DBS Check and Medical.
- Clean driving license.
- IT Proficient with experience of Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in English and able to write Technical Reports.
- Must be based in the UK.
- No sponsorship available.
