As a Senior Staff Nurse on our Paediatric Intensive Care unit you’ll take responsibility for the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge nurse while developing, implementing and evaluating holistic care plans for children in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team. We’ll look to you to act as a role model and mentor to our junior/student nurses while using those same interpersonal skills to develop long standing relationships with children and their families. Above all else, you’ll be part of a close team that champions collaboration, support and growth. *What you’ll bring: *
* NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support
* Post Graduate experience working in a PICU setting
* Understanding of Safeguarding issues
* Teaching and mentoring experience desirable
* Completion of a PICU Course that is equivalent to 60 credits
* Excellent clinical governance and experience with audits
* Experience of supervising and assessing students and shift leading is desirable
