Our private client is looking for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join our modern hospital in Bristol. You will join our small team of dedicated clinicians striving for excellence in an efficient unit whose main workload is Orthopaedics but also includes General Surgery, Gynaecology, ENT and Urology.

You will provide a wide range of anaesthetic cover - the main specialities covered include Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, ENT and Urology in the first instance. This will be on an elective basis except where a postoperative patient requires a return to theatre. In addition to the clinical duties, you will undertake the administrative duties associated with the care of your patients and with the running of the Department. You will be responsible for producing the appropriate clinical records for each patient. You will work with local managers and professional colleagues in the efficient running of services and will share with consultant colleagues in the medical contribution to management.

You will have:

  • You will be a UK registered medical professional, who is listed on the Specialist GMC register as well as evidence of speciality training.
  • Several years’ experience, at least 2 of which are within the UK.
  • Wide training and experience in anaesthesia.
  • Able to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems in anaesthesia.
  • Able to take full and independent responsibility for delivering service without direct supervision.
