Are you passionate about education and advancing Māori nursing? We are seeking a dedicated registered nurse to join our team in delivering the Bachelor of Nursing Degree. The new curriculum programme focusses on teaching nursing practices through a te ao Māori lens and provides new, exciting content that requires you to teach in a kaupapa Māori (Māori-centred) way.

You’ll be part of acollaborative nursing and support team, working together tomotivate and empowerstudents on their Bachelor of Nursing education pathway. If want to make a meaningful impact and would like to be part of our nursing programme, we'd love to hear from you!

The key responsibilities for the role are:

  • Extensive Nursing knowledge
  • Cultural competence in tikanga Māori and associated practices
  • Highly developed communication, organisational, and planning skills
  • Astudent-focused teaching approachthat engages and inspires learners
  • Theability to adaptteaching styles to meet diverse learning needs
  • Asupportive and inclusive attitude, fostering a positive learning environment
  • Experience in curriculum development and tertiary teaching
  • Competence in te reo Māori

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Be a registered Nurse with a current APC
  • An Adult Teaching Certificate (or willingness to complete)
  • Previous education experience, either in tertiary education or similar
  • Proven knowledge of te reo me ōna tikanga
  • Post Graduate qualifications desired/currently undertaking
