Are you looking for a great job which keeps you busy? Our Information & Admissions Team on the Nelson Campus are looking for a new team player, ready to help our customers who come from a diverse range of cultures. This role is 37.5 hours per week over 5 days.

One of the key focus areas of this position is to provide customer support, serving as the primary point of contact for learners, staff and stakeholders on arrival to our campuses. Information and support is timely, accurate and professional to guide and navigate. Working collaboratively with other service teams in the provision of event, administrative and facility support, this role contributes to NMIT's commitment to excellence in service delivery.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years secondary schooling with 5+ years' experience in a related field/role OR NCEA level 2 (or equivalent) with 4+ years' experience in related field OR NCEA level 3 (or equivalent) with 3+ years' experience in related field

You will also need to:

  • Have proficient computer use in MS Suite and software systems including understanding of databases
  • Have proven customer support experience and demonstrated cultural awareness
  • Have proven strengths working with systems and administrative processes
  • Have proven ability to obtain, clarify, analyze and efficiently convey relevant technical information accurately
  • Be methodical with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail while working to deadlines
  • Have a mature outlook with proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgement
  • Have proven ability to organise, multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Have the ability to work independently in a self-managing team environment
  • Have professional personal presentation
  • Have a clean driver's license

The successful applicant will be required to work resourcefully and successfully without direct supervision. Your communication skills will be second to none.
