Summary Statement
As a consultant in our growing London team, you will be responsible for producing leading analysis, insights and quality outputs that help our clients in their strategic decisions‑making. You will do this by contributing to a variety of consulting assignments that reflect the range of services we provide, including strategic consulting and insights engagements.
As a Consultant at NMG, you will be very hands on with responsibilities including building financial models and undertaking financial analysis including business cases and valuations, in addition to contributing to NMG’s proprietary insights and research, which you will also leverage to generate analysis.
You will rapidly interpret both high-level and detailed instruction, independently manage multiple workflows, and produce exceptionally high-quality analysis, reports, presentations and written content. While most work is UK‑based, there will be several opportunities each year to support selected global engagements.
This is a hands‑on position at the heart of NMG’s UK business – analysing quantitative and qualitative datasets, conducting executive interviews, synthesising research findings, and shaping narratives that directly influence client strategy. Working within a small team, your contributions will be integral to our success and to strengthening NMG’s ‘information advantage’. High performers will benefit from a strong learning trajectory, broad exposure to other NMG divisions and a clear pathway toward subject matter expertise and career progression.
This role is best suited to individuals who learn fast, think independently and are comfortable taking ownership of complex analysis and insight from early in their tenure.
- Deliver consulting and insights projects on time, on budget and to specification, taking ownership of defined workstreams from scoping through to delivery.
- Provide analytical support on business strategy, growth priorities and transformation initiatives, grounded in market intelligence and primary research.
- Build financial models, business cases and valuation analyses with increasing independence to support strategic decision‑making.
- Develop structured analytical frameworks and perform complex quantitative and qualitative analyses with limited supervision.
- Design and execute proprietary and bespoke insight programmes, including study design, questionnaire development, sampling, fieldwork oversight and analysis.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research, synthesising findings into commercially relevant insights and strategic implications.
- Produce high-quality reports, presentations and written outputs that combine analytical rigour with clear storytelling.
- Support client engagement and relationship management through high‑quality analysis and insight.
- Contribute to proposals, pitches and thought‑leadership development, identifying opportunities for new and follow‑on work.
- Leverage NMG’s collective expertise and data assets to maximise the firm’s information advantage across consulting and insights engagements.
