Our Client has a great opportunity to join their established manufacturing plant.
Key Duties:
- Carry out routine and unplanned maintenance work and respond to equipment faults;
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and machinery and arrange procurement of fixtures, fittings and components as required;
- Conduct quality inspections on jobs;
- Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment;
- Monitor and control maintenance costs;
- Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs;
- Work closely with Senior Management to improve health and safety policies and procedures;
- Work as part of a team to ensure the continuous flow of production and operations;
Criteria:
- Time-served Mechanical Engineer or Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in a mechanical maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong practical experience with mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics
- Basic working knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, CNC, or PC-controlled equipment desirable (mechanical focus remains key)
- Able to work independently, manage workload effectively, and prioritise maintenance activities
- Proactive, reliable team player with flexibility to support business needs when required.
