nLogic is seeking a BMDS Systems Test Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency’s System Engineering & Integration Team (SE&IT) in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will contribute to enterprise‑level performance analysis across the Missile Defense System (MDS), supporting the MDA/DE‑SEA Enterprise Analysis & Technical Innovation team and the MDA Joint Analysis Team (JAT). This position offers the opportunity to work on complex system‑of‑systems evaluations, develop analytical tools and methodologies, and present technical findings that directly inform critical MDS test events and system behaviours.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the SE&IT organization in support of MDA/DE‑SEA (Enterprise Analysis & Technical Innovation) and its role within the MDA Joint Analysis Team (JAT).
  • Perform Missile Defense System (MDS) performance analysis using test data from MDA Ground Test (HWIL) programs.
  • Support performance analysis of Flight Test events and Real World Event data as required.
  • Develop analytical approaches, tools, and methodologies to execute System‑level and Element‑level MDS performance analysis.
  • Produce analysis products and provide inputs for SEA test reports, technical reviews, and data review briefings.
  • Present analysis results on behalf of the SEA customer when needed.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering teams, Test Organizations, Warfighters, and Element Program representatives to ensure technical accuracy and alignment of MDS tests.
  • Develop, utilize, and present analytical products assessing strategic and/or regional/theater-level Element and System‑level MDS performance.
  • Analyze the full MDS kill chain, including sensor acquisition, tracking, discrimination, battle manager engagement planning, warfighter interaction, engagement coordination, and interceptor performance.
  • Apply systematic analytical discipline and established analytical methodologies to complex system data.
  • Work both independently and as part of a geographically distributed team.
  • Develop tools and analytical capabilities in support of SEA data assessment tasks; leverage experience in data science practices when applicable.
  • Expand working knowledge of MDS elements and apply that understanding to System‑level performance evaluation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Secret clearance (higher‑level clearance preferred).
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in engineering, mathematics, physics, or related technical field.
  • Proven analytical skills with knowledge of analytical methods and disciplined analysis processes.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools used to assess system‑level MDS performance.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in systems engineering or MDS analysis with strong collaboration and presentation skills.
  • Experience developing system‑level interface designs and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, PostgreSQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Tableau, or similar analytical tools.
  • Familiarity with system analysis, system‑level testing, and test data interpretation.
  • Experience with Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command System (IBCS) behaviours, engagement planning, or lower‑tier weapon systems and sensors.
