The DTechLogic Team is highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Cyber Engineer. This is a multifaceted role responsible for the comprehensive deployment, management, and maintenance of the ARC’s cybersecurity defense infrastructure. This position demands technical expertise in endpoint security, strict adherence to defensive security standards, and rigorous administrative diligence in monitoring the environment to detect and prevent malicious activity.

Additionally, the administrator will act as a subject matter expert, providing cross-functional technical support and working closely with System Administrators and the security team to effectively respond to cybersecurity threats and mitigate risks, ultimately upholding the security and integrity of the environment.

About the ARC

The Advanced Research Center (ARC) is a Missile Defense Agency (MDA) facility located in Cummings Research Park in Huntsville, AL. The ARC is a Test and Evaluation (RDT) facility that assists in building and maintaining Linux systems.

Cybersecurity Operations:

  • Conduct SCAP, vulnerability, and configuration scans;
  • Install cyber software, apply STIGs, and assist in various cyber compliance tasks.

10ZiG Administration:

  • Perform centralized management, configuration, and maintenance of the 10ZiG zero client environment, including remote deployment and firmware updates.

Required Qualifications:

  • An IAT II DoDm 8570 certification (CompTIA Security+CE, etc…).
  • A foundational understanding of the Linux command line.
  • Basic administrative knowledge of Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Experience in endpoint security and system management tools (e.g., Trellix/ePO, RSA, ArcSight).
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning (SCAP) and applying STIGs.

Work Conditions:

  • Work Model: On-site
  • Travel: Minimal
  • Work Hours: Standard from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some exceptions outside this window to support test events that require night shift work for some positions.
