We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused Sales Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will design and deliver high-performance colocation solutions tailored to enterprise client needs, with a focus on high-density workloads, GPU infrastructure, and liquid cooling technologies. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to complex infrastructure designs while working cross-functionally in a fast-growing digital infrastructure business.
Key Responsibilities- Solution Design & Architecture
- Lead customer discovery sessions and technical design workshops.
- Develop bespoke colocation solutions covering power, cooling, space, and interconnection.
- Produce rack elevation plans, network topologies, and power/cooling layouts aligned with nLighten’s operational capabilities.
- Design high-density rack environments (15–60kW/rack), including GPU and liquid-cooled deployments.
- Pre-Sales & Client Engagement
- Act as the technical lead in customer engagements from discovery through proposal and delivery handover.
- Prepare technical documentation and responses for RFPs, RFIs, and customer architecture reviews.
- Present solution designs and product options to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Internal Alignment
- Coordinate with Sales, Product, Operations, and Construction to validate feasibility and ensure alignment with delivery capabilities.
- Provide input into product roadmap, capacity planning, and standardization efforts.
- Participate in weekly pipeline reviews, bid meetings, and technical syncs.
- Tools & Systems
- Use design and documentation tools (AutoCAD, Visio, Lucidchart, MS Office, Confluence).
- Work within Salesforce for quote and SOF tracking.
- Interface with BMS, DCIM, and infrastructure monitoring systems.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
- 3–5+ years of experience in data centre infrastructure design or pre-sales engineering.
- Proven expertise in HV/LV electrical systems, advanced cooling solutions, and mechanical topologies.
- Experience working in carrier-neutral colocation or mission-critical environments.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Knowledge of GPU-based infrastructure, liquid cooling technologies, and high-density rack deployment.
- Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks, ASHRAE guidelines, and Uptime Institute/TIA standards.
- Proficiency in English is required; Other European languages (e.g., French, Dutch, German) are a plus.
- Certifications such as CDCP, CDCS, or vendor-specific designations (e.g., Schneider, Vertiv) are a plus.
