We are seeking an experienced Support Worker to work across a rota covering night shifts to support an individual with Downsyndrome .
You will provide compassionate and tailored care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Build trusting relationships with clients, offering emotional support and encouragement.
- Support clients in developing coping strategies, life skills, and accessing community resources.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders
- Monitor and document client progress
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all clients.
About You
A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
- Experience with PEG Care
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care or Mental Health (e. g., NVQ Level 2/3) are an advantage.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic with a strong commitment to supporting individuals with mental health needs .
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with sensitivity .
- A proactive and positive approach to supporting service users.
