Overview

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am–8:00 pm; Saturday, 8:00 am–2:00 pm. Contract: Part-time (20 hours/week, with potential to increase to 30 hours/week), Permanent.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, clean, and sterilise instruments and equipment following infection control standards.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-stocked surgery.
  • Handle dental materials and mix as required for treatments.
  • Follow strict cross-infection control and health & safety protocols.
  • Support the dental team with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Attend training sessions and complete coursework for the dental nursing qualification.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Enrolled or planning to enrol in an approved dental nurse course (proof required).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to high standards of patient care.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Work Schedule

  • Part-time, permanent position.
  • Typical rota: Wednesday morning/afternoon, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday.
  • Occasional additional hours on Monday afternoons and Tuesdays (when our orthodontist is present once or twice per month).
