We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Trainee Dental Nurse to join a progressive private dental practice in North Shields. Our extended appointments, including one-hour hygiene visits, allow us to focus on prevention, education, and long-term oral health. Our clinic offers a wide range of treatments including general dentistry, cosmetic procedures, implants, and clear aligners. Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 8:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am to 3:00pm
- Saturday: 9:00am to 3:00pm
- (Flexible full-time and part-time roles available, shift patterns discussed at interview)
Role Responsibilities:
- Preparing treatment rooms and equipment prior to procedures
- Assisting dentists chairside during a range of treatments
- Maintaining strict infection control and decontamination standards
- Supporting and reassuring patients throughout their visit
- Keeping patient records accurate and up to date
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
- Working towards completion of a recognised dental nursing qualification
Skills and Requirements:
- Enrolled on, or planning to enrol on, a dental nursing course
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Friendly, caring, and professional approach
- Reliable, organised, and able to work well within a team
- Genuine interest in dentistry and healthcare
- Willingness to complete a dental nursing qualification
- Previous chairside assisting experience is preferred but not essential, full training will be provided.
