Job Description NLB Solutions are working with a manufacturing business that are looking for a Qualified Accountant to join as a Financial Controller for a period of 6 months on a fixed term contract. This role has one person reporting in to them and will be office based for the 6 months but this role is now live as the company will be recruiting for this role on a permanent basis in the future. They are looking someone that can commit to completing the full 6 months with the possibility of the role converting into a permanent opportunity. Financial Reporting & Month-End Close Prepare management accounts, KPI reporting, and detailed variance analysis. Ensure timely reporting to corporate finance teams. Financial Planning & Analysis Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Develop and enhance reporting tools and financial analysis capabilities. Perform pricing evaluations and profitability analysis. Maintain compliance with UK statutory reporting requirements, US GAAP, SOX, and internal policies. Strengthen financial controls and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure completion and sign-off of balance sheet reconciliations. Manage VAT returns, corporation tax packs, payroll submissions, and statutory filings. Manufacturing Finance Oversee inventory valuation and annual stock take processes. Support operations with manufacturing performance reporting. Monitor capital expenditure and fixed asset management. Audit & Treasury Manage external and internal audit processes. Coordinate activities with tax, payroll, and R&D teams. Oversee working capital, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory management. Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations. Support ERP and finance system improvements. Manage lease accounting and reporting requirements. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent). Significant experience in a Finance Director, Financial Controller, or senior finance leadership role. Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
