NLG Health are currently looking for an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist for a Hospital in Croydon to cover an ongoing booking until the end of August 2024, with an anticipated extension. Main Duties

  • To effectively and efficiently manage a caseload of clients with complex needs using evidence based principles within Critical Care and Medicine, Orthopaedics and Surgery and Care of the Elderly
  • To work as an autonomous practitioner and to provide specialist assessments and treatments to clients, and maintain records in line with Trust and professional standards
  • To work as an effective team member and communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders including patients, family/carers and the MDT
  • To provide leadership, training and education to junior staff, students and assistants, and to provide supervision and 121’s with junior staff and assistants
  • To deputise for the clinical lead in the absence
  • To be highly organised and be able to prioritise effectively and be able to work in a busy environment and under pressure

Requirements

  • You will be a Physiotherapist, registered with The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have NHS Acute, Respiratory, ITU and Discharge experience.
  • You must be confident with busy caseloads and be able to manage time effectively and comply with CQC regulation requirements.
  • It is essential that you work within codes of practice and professional guidelines and be able to communicate health issues effectively and courageously.
  • You must currently be living in the UK, have effective communication skills, excellent attendance record as well as the ability to work under pressure.
  • Additionally, it is essential that you have a minimum of 6 months previous work experience within acute healthcare setting with the ability to provide 2 professional references are essential.
