A lovely and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who is patient, calm, and committed to making a real difference in a child’s school experience.

About the Role:

You will be supporting a pupil who is currently on the pathway for ASD and ADHD, with further exploration around a possible PDA profile. The child can find transitions, following instructions, and sustaining attention challenging, and is known to be a “runner.” However, he is a lovely pupil who has already made positive progress and responds best to calm, consistent, and proactive support. The role is vital in helping the child to feel safe, regulated, and able to access learning, while also supporting the wider class environment. You will work closely with a highly skilled class teacher and the school’s SEN team.
