We are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 class on a long-term morning placement in Haringey. This role is ideal for someone who has strong experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and behavioural challenges, and who is confident working both within the classroom and on a 1:1 basis when required.

  • Position: Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Start: ASAP
  • Hours: 8:30am - 12:30pm
  • Days: 5 mornings per week, Monday to Friday
  • Type: Long-term booking
  • Location: Haringey

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEN, ideally ASC and ADHD
  • Be confident managing behaviour and setting clear boundaries
  • Be calm, patient and consistent in their approach
  • Be able to follow structured routines and support regulation strategies
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and SEN staff
