Fixed Term Contract – Maternity Cover for 12 months – Full Time

Location: This is a hybrid role, with an expectation that you will work 4 to 5 days per month at the Dartington office and our Halwell Site. The remainder of your time will be worked remotely, in line with business needs.

About this role: The Role We are looking for a highly organised Production Manager to oversee the operational planning and coordination of all photography and video content creation for Nkuku. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of all creative production by managing scheduling, logistics, shoot preparation and asset workflows. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will coordinate the practical delivery of studio and location shoots, ensuring all content production timelines, resources, required samples, documentation and schedules are aligned with the brand’s critical path. This role requires exceptional organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple moving parts across concurrent productions. You will act as the central operational lead for content production, ensuring every shoot is well planned, properly resourced, as well as delivered on time and on budget.

About your key responsibilities:

  • Production Planning and Scheduling
    • Manage the end-to-end production schedule for all photography and video content across studio and campaign shoots
    • Build and maintain detailed production schedules aligned to the brand marketing campaigns and e-commerce critical path
    • Create and manage shoot documentation including production timelines, call sheets, logistics, budget and shoot schedules
    • Coordinate shoot dates, locations, crew availability and equipment requirements to ensure efficient production planning
    • Liaise with photographers, videographers and external production partners to coordinate availability and deliverables
    • Work closely with internal teams including brand marketing, product development, visual merchandising and e-commerce to plan seasonal content requirements
  • Shoot Logistics and Coordination
    • Lead all operational preparation for shoots, ensuring samples, crew, props arrangements, locations and production requirements are organized and ready
    • Coordinate the movement, preparation and tracking of all samples required for photography and video production
    • Work with product development and visual merchandising teams to ensure correct samples are available in line with shoot requirements
    • Manage location logistics, including transport, equipment, crew schedules and access arrangements
    • Ensure studio and location shoots run efficiently according to the planned schedule
    • Identify and proactively resolve production challenges to minimise disruption to the critical path
  • Studio and Production Operations
    • Maintain efficient studio operations, ensuring equipment, samples, props and storage are well organized and accessible
    • Implement production systems and processes that support increasing content demands and improved operational efficiency
    • Support the ongoing development of studio workflows to enable consistent and scalable content production
  • Post Production and File Management
    • Coordinate the post-production workflow for all photography and video content
    • Track editing timelines and ensure assets move efficiently through review and approval stages
    • Maintain consistent file naming, asset organization and digital storage across all photography and video content
    • Ensure final assets are correctly stored, archived and shared with relevant teams for marketing, e-commerce and campaign launches
    • Work closely with the wider marketing team to ensure timely delivery of all assets in line with launch deadlines
    • Work closely with the wider product development and merchandising teams to ensure alignment of assets associated with discontinuations
  • Stakeholder and Budget Management
    • Maintain strong working relationships with external creatives, production partners and freelancers
    • Coordinate production logistics with suppliers and contractors to ensure work is delivered to schedule and budget
    • Manage production administration including purchase orders, invoices and cost tracking
    • Support the Head of Brand Marketing with production planning for campaigns, seasonal launches and special projects

About your skills and knowledge:

  • Experience in production management for photography and video content, ideally within interiors, lifestyle or retail
  • Strong understanding of studio and campaign production workflows
  • Proven experience managing complex shoot schedules and coordinating high-volume content production
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and process management
  • Confident creating and managing production documentation including schedules, call sheets, budget tracking and logistics plans
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve operational challenges
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment
  • Detail focused with a strong commitment to operational efficiency and quality delivery
  • Flexible, collaborative and proactive in approach
  • Full clean driving licence and access to a car. Essential due to Nkuku locations.
