Location: North Scotland - Peterhead

Support health, safety and environmental standards in major projects. Are you interested in contributing to large-scale infrastructure projects that enable a greener future? At NKT, we design, manufacture and install advanced high-voltage cable systems for land and offshore applications worldwide. In this role, you will be part of an international team working closely with customers to ensure health, safety and environmental standards are met throughout project execution.

Ensure compliance and promote safe practices on site. As Project HSE Advisor, you will support the implementation of NKT’s HSE Management System and external requirements at project sites. You will work closely with site teams to identify hazards, minimize risks and maintain high standards of health, safety, environment and quality. Your role includes promoting HSE initiatives and ensuring compliance with legislation and contractual obligations.

Your responsibility will be to:

  • Produce regional HSE statistics, identify trends and propose initiatives
  • Ensure legal compliance of site works and documentation
  • Maintain and update key HSE documents as required
  • Prepare and deliver site inductions and maintain induction records
  • Communicate safety alerts and lessons learned to prevent recurrence

You will report to the Project HSE Manager and collaborate with project teams across multiple sites. The position is based in North Scotland with regular travel to installation sites.

We are looking for someone who values teamwork and takes a supportive approach to help project teams maintain high standards of safety and environmental performance. You communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships while promoting a culture of safety and compliance.

You also have:

  • Higher vocational or university degree in Engineering, Business or Health & Safety
  • Experience as an HSE Advisor in an international context
  • Knowledge of legal and contractual requirements related to HSE
  • Fluency in English spoken and written
  • Authorization to work in the UK
