We are going through an exciting period of growth and onboarding of a Sales Manager for the South London region to increase our footprint in the UK Wholesale Cable market. Working together with the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for developing new customer relationships, whilst maintaining existing ones by providing first class service. We are looking for a creative, motivated and organised individual to be part of our team and our next #NKTconnector to assist and drive the growth in sales and market share across this region.
Main Responsibilities
- Boost sales of existing products and market share growth.
- Launch products into a crowded market, with the aim to become a significant partner.
- Develop new customer relationships for the business as well as maintaining existing ones.
- Work closely with wider sales team for cross‑selling opportunities.
- Daily customer contact and visits.
- Coordinate customer meetings, along with internal reporting and follow ups.
- Comprehensive cross‑functional involvement e.g. manufacturing, forecasting and market insights.
- Engage with consultants and engineers to ensure NKT products are considered for installation on projects.
Additionally you will also need to:
- Increase sales in % and £ margin within region.
- Sell multiple products to existing and new customers.
- Assist the Head of Sales to implement detailed and effective sales plans to facilitate penetration with existing and new customers.
- Maximise sales and new opportunities based on market data and in line with current and up to date sales practices.
- Have proven time management skills to prioritise large regions and diverse clients.
- Provide reports on sales activity, forecasting and performance.
- Keep up to date with the current market and competitors in your region and the industry.
- Be available to attend industry events and trade shows.
What you will bring
- An existing network of wholesale contacts in South London is essential, together with a background in electrical cables and or products that relate to cables & accessories would be advantageous but not essential, other product lines sold into these sectors will also be considered.
- The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in sales management and bring with them a ready‑made network or their own clientele.
- This role requires a strategic thinker who can leverage their existing relationships to drive business growth and expand our market presence.
- Plan and prepare customer visits and a full clean drivers license is essential.
