The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The role requires weekly travel to project sites to collaborate closely with the wider NKT team, which is distributed between Spittal (Caithness) and Peterhead (Aberdeenshire). The position is primarily based out of NKT’s offices in Perth and Inverness, with additional travel to and use of the client’s offices located in the same cities.

Do you want to work directly in our core business with the installation of our delivery projects?As part of the Installation department you will be working in a global and dynamic environment leading the installation of our customer projects.

Drive and lead the installation scope

As Deputy Project Installation Manager you will support the Project Installation Manager with the installation part of our projects, working with safety, quality, time and budget together with the installation project team.

You will be supporting all activities needed to deliver the onshore installation package in the contract from start up, planning and preparation to execution and closure phase. The team has the responsibility that our installation operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and NKT HSE procedures. The installation projects involves several subcontractors, hence managing these successfully is crucial. Besides the above you will support with the following:

  • Ensure that the project follows execution best practices and NKT policies
  • Work with contract and procurement management in relation to the installation budget
  • Collaborate with cable system designers, clients, and engineering teams to create safe and efficient installation methodologies
  • Documentation deliveries to the end client
  • Capture, analyze and share lessons learned throughout the project

You will be a part of our highly skilled international Installation Team. This role is aimed for our project offices in Perth and or Inverness but other locations in Scotland could be discussed.

Communicative, experienced project managerwith a self-going and driven attitude

Your strong communication skills allow you to effectively communicate with all internal and external stakeholders as well as building and maintaining strong relationships. In order to thrive and succeed you are a collaborative team player who is driven, self-going and service minded with a high technical interest and high sense of responsibility.

Additionally, your CV includes:

  • BSc degree preferably within Civil Engineering or equivalent higher education qualifications e.g HNC/HND
  • Relevant work experience from civil engineering, renewables, linear projects.
  • CITB / Industry recognised training
  • PM training and/or courses are meritorious
