About nkoda
nkoda works with over 140 leading music publishers to bring their sheet music catalogues into one digital library. With more than 140,000 editions now available – and that number growing every month – nkoda has become an essential library resource for academic and performance institutions worldwide. We are now seeking a new Trial Manager to help grow our institutional customer base.
About the Role
As a Trial Manager at nkoda, you will be responsible for managing institutional trials – typically one month of free access offered to all potential institutional customers. These trials are a key factor in an institution’s decision to subscribe to nkoda.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and managing trials for academic and performance institutions worldwide, including universities, conservatoires, specialist music and independent schools, orchestras, ensembles, opera houses, theatres, and broadcasting companies.
- Conducting meetings with key decision-makers, and hosting webinars for participating institutions, to ensure each trial is successful.
- Maintaining proactive, timely, and clear communication with all potential customers throughout the trial period.
- Creating both print and digital promotional assets (e.g., posters, landing pages, flyers etc.) to drive engagement and ensure participants have clear information about the trial.
- Managing nkoda’s CRM system, to ensure all deals are accurately recorded and tracked.
- Monitoring usage data during trials and responding appropriately to ensure the trial’s success.
- Handing over deals to Sales Representatives, once the trial concludes, ensuring that all information is transferred effectively to support the closing process.
Skills and Experience Required
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. Proficiency in other modern languages, while not essential, is highly advantageous.
- Professional training or experience in classical music (e.g., study at a university or conservatoire, or experience in music publishing, performance, or a related field), or an in-depth understanding of classical music. This is essential, as most prospects will be musicians or music professionals, and so the ability to discuss music confidently is crucial.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple relationships simultaneously.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, particularly HubSpot.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in maintaining accurate data and records.
- Previous experience with digital library products or other academic resources would be beneficial, as would general sales experience.
- Experience using design software such as Figma and Adobe InDesign, whilst not essential, would be highly desirable.
Details
- Base Salary: £30,000 per annum, plus commission on each deal closed.
- Contract: full-time, permanent.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:30.
Place of Work
