We are NK Motors Kia, a family-run Kia dealer that has been in business since 1981. We have 2 Kia dealerships and a dedicated used car centre within our family-run group.
We are seeking an Assistant Service Manager to join our busy automotive service team. The role will involve supporting the Service Manager in running day-to-day operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining smooth workshop performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in overseeing the service department team, ensuring targets and quality standards are met.
- Manage daily operations including bookings, invoicing, and scheduling.
- Supervise service advisors and technicians, providing leadership and support.
- Monitor and manage staff holiday cover and rota planning.
- Handle escalated customer service issues in a professional manner.
- Support the Service Manager in driving departmental performance.
- Previous experience in an automotive service management or supervisory role would be an advantage, but we are open to somebody that is keen to take the next step up into management that has been working in a customer service/advisor role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage staff performance and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of dealership DMS systems desirable.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Competitive salary (£28-32k depending on experience).
- Bonus scheme based on department performance can be looked at after a qualifying period.
