A well-established and growing engineering service provider specialising in industrial compressors, air systems and associated equipment is looking to recruit a skilled Compressor Service Engineer to support continued expansion across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer seeking long-term stability, strong overtime earnings and genuine career progression within a respected technical business.
As a Compressor Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing rotary screw, piston and oil-free compressors
- Fault finding on electrical, mechanical and control systems
- Installing new compressed air equipment and pipework systems
- Carrying out routine maintenance, breakdown response and emergency call-outs
- Providing excellent customer support and technical advice on site
- Completing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation
The role is field-based in the region with occasional travel further afield.
To be successful, you should have:
- Proven experience as a Compressor Engineer, Service Engineer, Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer
- Strong mechanical and basic electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working on compressed air systems or similar industrial equipment (pumps, blowers, vacuum, hydraulics, pneumatics or HVAC also considered)
- Full UK driving licence
- Good customer-facing and communication skills
- Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent) desirable but not essential
