We are recruiting two proactive and people-focused Shift Managers to work on-site at a key client location. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of an agency workforce, ensuring all workers are checked in, fully inducted, supported, and performing to a high standard with the aim of progressing into permanent employment.
You will be part of a team of four Shift Managers, working collaboratively to achieve group targets while delivering an excellent service to both workers and the client.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the on-site agency workforce during your assigned shift (Morning or Afternoon)
- Ensure all workers are correctly checked in and out and compliant with attendance procedures
- Deliver inductions to new starters, ensuring full understanding of site rules, processes, and expectations
- Monitor and track worker performance, attendance, and conduct, providing feedback and support where required
- Support and coach workers with the aim of developing them towards permanent opportunities
- Work closely with a dedicated Resourcer to ensure all staffing requirements are fulfilled
- Liaise daily with client representatives and on-site shift managers to ensure optimal workforce performance
- Address any on-site issues promptly, escalating where necessary
- Maintain accurate records and reports relating to workforce performance and compliance
- Contribute to team and group targets, supporting continuous improvement across the site
- Previous experience in agency, recruitment, operations, or workforce management (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident managing people in a fast-paced environment
- Organised, reliable, and able to prioritise workload effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Professional and customer-focused approach when liaising with clients and workers
- Comfortable working on-site and being a visible point of contact
- Full-time, on-site role working 5 days per week
