NJR Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well‑established and highly respected Financial Adviser firm in Harrogate that is looking to recruit a Trainee Paraplanner to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop a long‑term career within financial planning.
Whether you are currently working as an IFA Administrator, have gained experience within financial services, or have recently completed relevant financial planning qualifications, this role offers a clear pathway into paraplanning. You will work closely with experienced Advisers and Paraplanners, receiving full training and support while developing your technical knowledge and report‑writing skills.
The Role
- Supporting Advisers and Paraplanners with financial planning research
- Gathering client information, provider data, valuations and illustrations
- Assisting with the preparation of suitability reports and recommendation letters
- Preparing client review packs and meeting documentation
- Conducting product and provider research
- Liaising with clients, providers and product platforms
- Processing new business and monitoring cases through to completion
- Maintaining accurate client records and back‑office systems
- Assisting with cashflow modelling and financial planning analysis as your experience develops
About You
- Previous experience within an IFA, wealth management or financial services environment is essential
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional and organised approach to work
- A desire to build a long‑term career within paraplanning and financial planning
- Progress towards the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning would be beneficial but is not essential
