Role Overview
Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations & Technical Manager to oversee daily operations while also contributing to the technical leadership of the business. This is a hybrid role—approximately 60% office-based and 40% site-based—and would suit a candidate from a technical security background who is ready to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support office and field-based staff, including engineers and administrative team
- Coordinate installation projects—procurement, logistics, and scheduling
- Oversee company-wide health and safety, including fleet management
- Act as HR liaison in conjunction with a third-party provider (e.g., RBS Mentor)
- Support the senior management team across installation and service departments
Technical Duties
- Work alongside the MD and Sales Director to design bespoke security systems
- Ensure compliance with SSAIB regulations and standards
- Attend sites around 30% of the time for:
- Pre-start project meetings
- System commissioning and handovers
- Site surveys to support sales and design
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in security system installation and maintenance
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with a hands-on approach
- Comfortable balancing office-based and field-based responsibilities
- IT literate, with a working knowledge of IP networks and CCTV systems
- Based in or willing to commute to Liverpool, with flexibility for UK-wide travel
