Are you an experienced Merchandiser looking to work for a leading organisation that is going through an exciting period of growth? Our client is a leading importer, supplying major retailers in the UK and due to their ever-expanding growth they now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Merchandiser to join their team. They are looking for someone with experience in trend and forecast analysis within a retail or wholesale environment. You will have the ability to interpret information and make decisions to maximise service levels and stock efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting required service levels for given range
  • Responsible for forecasting and sales analysis for given range
  • Analyse weekly/monthly/yearly sales to identify trends
  • Manage stock to maximise availability, whilst reducing markdown exposure
  • Raise any supply/service issues in good time to management
  • Collate and manage potential discontinued products
  • Support range planning in conjunction with category teams
  • Plan initial buys for new lines
  • Raise factory purchase orders
  • Work with factories to ensure products ship within agreed timelines
  • Approve bookings for shipments
  • Liaise with internal teams including Category Teams, Shipping, Operations, Finance
  • Work closely with the Customer and attend Customer meetings as required
  • Assist in development and growth of business

The successful candidate will need to have previous experience working as a Merchandiser - preferably within retailer/importer environment with knowledge of forecasting and report writing. You will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel as well as solid communication and articulation skills and have the ability to multitask.
