We are currently working with a distributor of specialist hardware who now has an excellent opportunity for a pro-active Purchasing Administrator to join their friendly team based in Cheshire. The purpose of the role:
- To support and assist the Purchasing Coordinator with Purchase Order Management and Supplier Relationships.
- Support the delivery of the department strategy as required.
Duties include:
- Purchase Order Administration
- Purchase Order creation and submission
- Update Purchase Orders post supplier confirmation
- Collect and collate relevant data and format concisely for the weekly Back Order Cleanse
- Assist the Purchasing Coordinator with the weekly Purchase Order Hastening Programme
- Maintain Archiving of Purchase Orders
- Supplier Management
- Define and manage key supplier relationships to deliver outstanding performance in cost, terms, service, supply and quality
- Recognize supplier expectations and align with our own business objectives
- Supplementary Reporting - DIT
- Management of Supplementary Reporting on the Department of International Trades website
- Submission of all imported product by Make, Model, Calibre and Serial Number
- Manage and maintain the DIT Supplementary Reporting Register
- Additional Information covering UK date of arrival and mode of transport
- Amendment of product proof status
- Product Brand Management
Essential Skills:
- Experience working in a similar supply chain / purchasing admin role
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise own workload
- IT literate with Microsoft office packages
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Highly numerate
- Ability to work as part of a diverse team
