A position has arisen for an Import Merchandiser at their busy head office in South Manchester - initially on a fixed term contract.
Duties of the job will include the following:
- Responsible for merchandising orders through from artwork stage to bulk production & final approval.
- Input into Cad designs at an early stage, working alongside our Design & Sales Teams.
- Focus on Buying Samples, submissions/approval with retail buyers.
- Sending of Design Artwork Packs to overseas factories.
- Factory contracting, checking all styling and product details are correct.
- Retail Purchase Orders, ensuring these are correct before processing.
- Receiving pre-production strike offs/samples/lab dips etc from overseas factories and arranging submissions/approvals with both the buyer/customer and the licensor.
- Checking print positions/templates.
- Maintaining internal & retail critical paths ensuring all orders are on time.
- Managing any shipment delays with the factory and customer.
- Working on internal product development systems, production schedules, retailer systems/platforms & licensor approval websites.
About you:
- Import Merchandising experience.
- Confident and clear communication skills, both verbal and written, with manufacturers, retailers and within the office environment.
- Someone who is well organised and flexible, with a logical and analytical mind, and excellent administration skills.
- Someone who works well under pressure, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
- Full driving license is essential.
- Microsoft Outlook, Office, Word, Excel computer skills are required.
