NJR Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading and rapidly growing insurer for a Finance Assistant to join their expanding Manchester team. Our client is one of the fastest-growing insurers in the UK. A Norwegian-based business, the company entered the UK market in 2015 and has grown rapidly ever since. With continued expansion comes excellent opportunities for talented individuals looking to build their careers within a dynamic and people-focused organisation.

Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will provide day-to-day accounting and transactional support across a wide range of finance activities.

Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:

  • Set up and validate new suppliers, process supplier invoices, and prepare payment runs.
  • Record financial transactions in Microsoft Dynamics AX and maintain digital filing systems.
  • Manage the finance inbox and respond to supplier and employee queries.
  • Support the senior finance team with month-end activities and ad hoc tasks.
  • Carry out bank reconciliations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and embrace AI to streamline finance operations.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience using accounting software such as Dynamics or Sage.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Previous experience working in a busy finance team.
