NJR Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing Accountancy Practice who are looking to recruit an experienced Qualified Accountant to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys variety and wants to work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients. You will provide a broad range of accounts and financial support to businesses ranging from sole traders and owner-managed businesses through to larger organisations and charity groups .
The successful candidate will join a professional and friendly practice where client relationships are highly valued and there is plenty of variety in the role.
The Role
Working across a diverse client portfolio, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing year-end accounts for a variety of clients
- Supporting sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Providing accounts and financial reporting support to charity clients
- Preparing management accounts where required
- Assisting with VAT returns and other statutory requirements
- Supporting clients with general accounting queries
- Liaising directly with clients and developing strong working relationships
- Reviewing financial information and identifying any issues or discrepancies
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Working closely with colleagues across the practice to deliver a high-quality service
About You
We're looking for an experienced accountant who can confidently manage a varied portfolio of clients and enjoys working in a practice environment.
You will need:
- Level 4 accountancy qualification or above - essential
- Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Experience preparing accounts for a range of businesses
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
- The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
- A proactive and professional approach
