Hybrid Working (2 days from home)

Our client is a well-established firm of Independent Financial Planners, who offers specialist financial, taxation and independent investment advice for both individual clients and businesses in the UK and internationally. An opportunity has arisen to join the team under the guidance of the Head of Financial Administration.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an understanding of current pension legislation
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC, legislative and internal procedures
  • Ensure compliance with FCA regulations, Anti Money Laundering requirements and TCF
  • Awareness of and compliance with Data Protection issues
  • Use of Property Administration Management Database
  • Monitor and chase rental payments to ensure prompt payment
  • Monitor rental reviews and lease renewals
  • Liaising with clients and professional connections regarding rental queries
  • Collate legitimate VAT invoices
  • Maintain legitimate VAT records
  • Completion of quarterly returns
  • Payment to HMRC
  • Liaising with clients and professional connections regarding VAT queries
  • Monthly tax reclaim submission on personal contributions
  • Maintenance of tax reclaim account and allocation of funds to client accounts
  • Liaising with clients and professional connections regarding tax reclaim queries
  • Operation of payroll system
  • Payment of net pensions and issue of payslips
  • Payment of PAYE tax
  • Yearend PAYE returns
  • Liaising with clients and professional connections regarding payroll queries
  • Maintain a record of fee basis
  • Monitor funding for payments & produce chasers when required
  • Assist with making payments to IFAs
  • Maintenance and renewal of block insurance policy
  • Maintenance of adequate records on individually insured properties
  • Liaising with clients and professional connections regarding insurance queries

Candidates are not required to have any specific experience in Finance as all training will be provided.
