Operations Manager Burton Latimer £45,000 – £50,000 plus benefits Following a period of incredible growth my client, a supplier of consumables to the retail industry, now has an excellent opportunity for an Operational Service Support Manager to join their team at a new purpose-built site in Burton Latimer. Our client offers a generous salary, market leading benefits and excellent career progression opportunities. Role Purpose: To assist the Head of Operations in delivering operational & service excellence. To ensure that the company is operating efficiently & effectively whilst controlling costs in line with budgets & expectations. Collaborating with all departments to ensure we maximise customer profitability and service levels through KPI, cost management and lean processes. Duties include: * Line management of direct reports * Responsible for interaction with the wider business and ensuring operational service is delivered OTIF on a day to day basis. * Manages interactions and inputs from the commercial teams and feeds back into the wider operation. * Analysis of operational performance metrics in conjunction with the operational analyst to improve service performance * Co-ordination of a daily operations meeting * Manages performance stats, improvement board, and operational initiatives * To deputise for the Head of Operations Skills & Experience required: * Excellent IT skills, good verbal and written presentation skills, confidence in dealing with senior management and customers * Numerate, bright, enthusiastic, self-sufficient, self-starter, confident, analytical, inquisitive * Proven track record of managing operational teams * Strong financial & budgeting capability / compliance * High degree of flexibility – last minute changes to working hours, days or location as required to meet the expectations & commitments of the role. * Previous operational, commercial and customer management experience essential * Team management and leadership skills. * Change management skills. * People skills such as empathy, patience, and politeness. * Strong Communication skills. * Decision-making skills driven by customer insights.
