Leeds £25,000 - £30,000 plus benefits

Our Client is a well-established and innovative organisation supplying Gift, Homewares and similar products to the High Street, Discount Retail and Supermarkets across both the UK & the USA. With very strong year on year growth and an expanding portfolio of products, they are now seeking an experienced, analytical Import Merchandiser to join their team!

Duties include:

  • Completion and ongoing management of product specification internally & externally with accurate information.
  • Manage critical path for new ranges, inputting and amending key dates, liaising closely with UK and overseas suppliers.
  • Suggesting, placing and following up orders within the UK and overseas factories.
  • Arrange incoming stock shipments from the Far East to the USA and UK warehouses in line with delivery schedule.
  • Monitoring stock levels across our UK and USA warehouses and arranging efficient warehouse transfers to maximise the availability of core lines.
  • Creation and communication of specific shipping requirements including carton marking information for all clients.

Experience required:

  • Clear mathematical understanding.
  • High level of Excel skills. Data manipulation will be required on a daily basis.
  • Logical and methodical way of working. Organisation is key to hitting deadlines and executing tasks correctly.
  • Have a really keen eye for detail.
  • Love of Fun products! Whilst the role is data driven, an understanding of what makes their products great is at the heart of everything they do!
